Public Exhibition - Proposed Solar Energy Park

Planning Application

A planning application was recently received by East Cambridgeshire District Council(ECDC) by Ridge Clean Energy for the installation of ground mounted solar array and a battery energy storage system on Newmarket Road and in the Bottisham and Wilbrahams vicinity.

Location

  • Six Oaks Renewable Energy Park, a Solar Farm with Battery Storage, would be located on farmland between the A14 and A11 roads, south-east of Bottisham and east of Little Wilbraham.
  • The site would have an area of up to 81 hectares and the location is shown on the map on the following page. The project is being developed by Ridge Clean Energy, a company that specialises in the identification and development of renewable energy projects and associated infrastructure.

Public Exhibitions

Will be held where you can go and see the proposed project, discuss the application and ask questions of the planners. These dates will be as follows:

  • Monday, 28th March 1-8pm at Wilbraham’s Memorial Hall
  • Tuesday, 29th March 12noon – 8pm at Bottisham Community Sports and Social Club, Poppy Lounge.

A newsletter with information about the proposed project and public exhibition dates details will be sent to every household in Bottisham, Great and Little Wilbraham and Six Mile Bottom over the course of the next week. The newsletter is attached below for your reference.
