Queen Elizabeth II Passing

It is with great regret that Bottisham Parish Council has learned of the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, this afternoon.

For so many of us The Queen has been the Head of State for our entire lives, she has always represented a sense of duty and fortitude in so many challenges the country has faced, which many of us respect and regard highly. She will be sadly missed by so many, but not least her family – children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, to whom we send my sincere condolences on behalf of all in Bottisham

Queen Elizabeth II will be remembered for her steadfast service to her country, her dignity and grace, generosity and spirit during her years on the throne.

Now is the time for communities like Bottisham to come together for a period of remembrance and reflection, as we pay respects to a monarch who has faithfully and stoically served us during her historic reign.

‘I declare before you all that my whole life, whether it be long or short, shall be devoted to your service and the service of our great imperial family to which we all belong.’ That is exactly what she did.

Your Majesty, thank you for all you gave to us, Great Britain and the World.
